18 boleros chulos is an album of boleros performed by various artists, including Pablo Carbonell , Faemino , Javier Krahe , Santiago Segura , Pepín Tre and El Gran Wyoming , founders of the 18 Chulos record company, which released the album in 2003. [ 1 ] In addition to versions of classic boleros, the album includes a bolero-beat versionof The Beatles' Yellow Submarine and two new boleros composed by Pepín Tre for the occasion. [ 2 ]

The authors of the disc declared to have recorded it in order to make their record company profitable, at risk of disappearance due to its financial problems. [ 3 ] Although the album failed financially, the success of the accompanying tour allowed them to achieve their goal. [ 4 ]
