The Cadre 45/2 European Championship in 1928 was the 4th tournament in this discipline of carom billiards and took place from April 24 to 27, 1928 in the French capital Paris . It was the first Cadre 45/2 European Championship in France.

story

The Belgian Théo Moons secured the second European title in Cadre 45/2 after 1926. Defending champion Gustave van Belle was only second this time ahead of the Egyptian Edmond Soussa , who won the first medal at an EM for his country. The Dutchman Leo Katoen had to quit the tournament after two games due to illness. The games he played remained in the rating and all other players received 2-0 match points. This is why Emile Garris does not have a BED.

Tournament mode

The whole tournament was played in the round robin system up to 400 points. In contrast to world championships, there were no tie-off games at the end when there was a tie, but the better general average decided on the placement.

Rating:

  1. MP = Matchpunkte
  2. GD = Generaldurchschnitt
