The 3rd Army Division was a unit of the Argentine Army based in the Paraná Military Garrison .

History

In 1905 the 3rd Military Region was in charge of Argentine Mesopotamia . [ 1 ]

In 1917 the Division had jurisdiction in Patagonia and was made up of the V Infantry Brigade , the III Cavalry Brigade , the VI Cavalry Brigade , the III Artillery Brigade , the Engineer Command, the Gendarmerie Regiment and 13 military districts. . [ 2 ]

In 1930 the Division established its command in Paraná, on which depended the Infantry Regiments 9, 11 and 12, the Regiment of Cavalry 3, the Artillery Regiment 3, Sappers-Pontoneros III, parks and trains, 14 military districts, the Regiment Mounted 10 , the War Office and the Division Military Hospital. [ 3 ]

In the early 1930s the Division Military Hospital was built. [ 4 ]

From 1938 it became dependent on the First Army . [ 1 ]
