The 416th Infantry Division (Wehrmacht) was a German infantry division during World War II . The division was set up on December 20, 1941 and stationed in Denmark . From October 1944, the unit fought in West Germany ( Saarpfalz , Hunsrück ). In May 1945, the division became at Traunstein in Bavaria in US captivity .
