The songs

You will sing

Although the lyrics are not all by the Sevillian poet Antonio Machado , they are three stanzas (from "Proverbios y cantares"). The rest, and the music was written by Joan Manuel Serrat , who published it on the LP "Dedicated to Antonio Machado, Poet" (1969). It is the theme with which the album opens and it is also the song that starts the repertoire of the new tour.

The heart's power

A 1995 song published on Alejandro Sanz's CD , 3 .

50 years later

It is the vision that Joaquín Sabina has of Raphael as a spectator .

Scandal

It is a duet between David Bisbal and Raphael of the theme written by Willy Chirino .

To see you again

Second single by Colombian singer-songwriter Juanes for his album My Blood , this time, Raphael duo with Juanes on this song.

"Can't Take My Eyes Off You"

It was written by Bob Crewe and Bob Gaudio, and it was a 1967 single by Frankie Valli , who placed it at number 2 on the American Billboard. Over the years, many versions have been recorded, and some of them have reappeared in the top bestseller positions. This time Raphael sings it accompanied by Alaska . The song served as the basis for the announcement of TVE's Christmas programming (December 2008).

Infinity

A theme by Enrique Bunbury .

Child of the moon

Composed and produced by José María Cano . It was written and published in 1986, originally for Isabel Pantoja to sing, who rejected the preliminary demo -recorded in the voice of Mecano , led by Ana Torroja - since Isabel considered it too "folkloric" for the style of songs that she was looking to do for that moment. After this, the song was incorporated to form part of the repertoire of Mecano's album "Between the sky and the ground" (1986).

How I love you

Originally published by Raphael in 1980 on the LP "And ... I follow my path", just a few months before, Rocío Jurado had recorded this theme by Manuel Alejandro . In the case of Raphael, his version shot up the sales of this LP ; for example, in Mexico it was a double Gold Record , and it spent months in the audience rankings. As a result, Raphael's version managed to outshine Rocío Jurado's . Since its publication, "Como yo te Amo" has been included in the repertoire of songs at Raphael's concerts. On this occasion, Raphael and Rocío Jurado , thanks to technology, come together to sing it together.

I want to hug you so much

A 1970 song that Raphael sings with Víctor Manuel and Ana Belén .

Death of love

A song from the first stage of Miguel Bosé , who published it in 1980 as a single taken from his album "Miguel". Song composed by the Spanish singer-songwriter José Luis Perales

Return Return

Composed by Fernando Z. Maldonado . Raphael performed this song for the first time, accompanied by mariachi in 1974, at concerts at the Palacio de la Música in Madrid , and also on his tour of Spain in the summer of 1976. On this album he sings it in duet with the Mexican Vicente Fernández . This song, along with "Adoro" was recorded in Mexico.

Hymn of Joy (Ode to Joy)

In 1969 Miguel Ríos sold seven million records of this piece composed in 1823 by Ludwig van Beethoven , (the melody comes from the Ninth Symphony), which in Miguel's version was conducted by Waldo de los Ríos . Success in the United States , United Kingdom , France , Germany , Japan , Sweden , Italy , Austria , Holland , Canada , etc.

The sky can wait

It is written by Manuel Martos (Mota).

Love

Armando Manzanero's love song , which has had countless versions.

How the years have passed

It is one of the great successes of Rocío Dúrcal , composed by Rafael Ferro and Roberto Livi. Already, in 2006 Raphael had recorded it for the CD "Cerca de ti", and it is one of the songs that accompanied that tour. Now, Rocío was also present on this album of duets, recording this bolero in a mix with the voice track of Rocío's recording.

Be yourself

A song included in the LP "El Golfo". This composition by Gilbert Becaud "C'etait moi" adapted to Spanish, won in interpretation, thanks to the powerful voice of Raphael, and to the magnificent arrangements and orchestral direction of Manuel Alejandro . There is still more, if you want to hear it in English it is also in the repertoire of "Live at the Talk of the Town". Today, Raphael returns to record this song with Paloma San Basilio .

Mi gran noche ( Hold on tight )

Duet of "My great night" (Tenez-Vous bien) by Salvatore Adamo . Legendary theme in Raphael's career, with lyrics specially written for him. Already in 2006, and live, Raphael and Adamo sang this song together, on TVE, and in 2008 they recorded it together for this album, using the already known lyrics of Raphael.

A mi manera (My Way)

" My Way " is a pop ballad written by Fred Brott , whose adaptation to the English language was made by Paul Anka , of the French song Comme d'habitude, written by Claude François and Jacques Revaux with French lyrics by Claude François and Gilles Thibaut . The English version only keeps the melody of the song, not the lyrics that were rewritten and it is totally different from the original. The Spanish version that Raphael sings has a text similar to English. Raphael sings a duet with Paul Anka .

America and homage to Violeta Parra

Subject of America 1991 written by José Luis Perales , Raphael and recorded for the CD "Phoenix". Raphael paid a tribute to the Chilean folklorist Violeta Parra , singing her well-known song Gracias a la Vida, in addition to that, he performed at the Floresta Stadium, in San Miguel de Tucumán , to honor the Argentine singer Mercedes Sosa .
