The 5th stage of the Giro d'Italia 2019 took place on 15 of maypole of 2019 between Frascati and Terracina for a distance of 140 km and was won in a sprint by the cyclist German Pascal Ackermann of the team Bora-Hansgrohe , who with this victory completed his second stage win at the 2019 Giro. Slovenian cyclist Primož Roglič from Jumbo-Visma kept the Pink Jersey . [ 1 ]

Due to the rain present throughout the stage, the commissioners decided that the times of the general classification would be counted in the first passage through the finish line in Terracina 9 km from the end and the positions of the stage were determined based on the second and last step by goal.
