7,000 chickens and a camel is a play by Jesús Campos García , premiered at the María Guerrero Theater (Madrid) in April 1976 .

In 1974 he had obtained the Lope de Vega Prize from the Madrid City Council, the highest award then awarded to works by Spanish authors.

Its cast was made up of: Isa Escartín, Carlos Mendy, Kety de la Cámara, Enrique Morente, Alberto Bobé, Ana Viera Solares and Enrique Espinosa. The musicians of the Vivaldi Chamber Orchestra and the Zumo symphonic rock group participated.
