The ZA-102 or OU-124 is a regional highway located on the autonomous border of the communities of Castilla y León and Galicia . For this reason, its administration depends both on the Junta de Castilla y León , where it is part of the Local Complementary Network of highways of the Junta de Castilla y León ., [ 1 ] and on the Junta de Galicia , where it belongs to the secondary road network of the Junta de Galicia .

The beginning of this road is to the northeast of the Orense town of Vilavella , at the junction with the N-525 , and the end in the town of Porto . The length of this road is approximately 27.4 km and runs through the provinces of Zamora and Orense , passing through the regions of Sanabria and Viana . Its main characteristics are that it consists of a single road, with a lane for each direction of traffic [ 2 ] and has a platform width of 4 meters. Your speed limitationit is 60 km / h, due to the narrowness of the road and the many curves. In addition, the danger of loose animals is present , because the road crosses mountains or forests throughout its journey, and the danger of ice on the road, since the road crosses areas of darkness.

Nomenclature [ 3 ] [ 4 ]

The Zamora section has kept its name of ZA-102 , while the section from Orense was previously called OU-170 , changing the name of the Junta de Galicia in 2002 to the current OU-124 .
