The A-340 was an Andalusian regional highway (in Andalusia , Spain) that linked the cities of Estepa (Seville) and Guadix (Granada). It served as the west-east backbone of Andalusia after the A-92 , to which it ran more or less parallel.
This A-340 road was occupied in several sections by the A-44 and the A-92 (the latter until reaching Guadix ). After changing the name of the roads, the A-340 disappeared, and the following regional roads emerged from its route:
- A-318 ( Estepa a Cabra ): it will be part of the future Autovía del Olivar , which will link Estepa with Úbeda .
- A-339 ( Cabra to Alcalá la Real ): passes through Carcabuey , Priego de Córdoba , Almedinilla and Caserías de San Isidro , in the form of variants.
- A-403 ( Alcalá la Real to the A-44 )
- A-308 (from the A-44 to the A-92 ): there are plans to unfold it so that vehicles coming from Madrid and heading towards Murcia and Almería do not have to reach the city of Granada .
