A Matter of Trust [ 1 ] is the third episode of the fifth season and ninety fifth episode throughout the television series American of drama and science fiction Arrow . The episode was written by Ben Sokolowski and Emilio Ortega Aldrich and directed by Gregory Smith . It was released on October 19, 2016 in the United States by The CW network. [ 2 ]

The recruits believe they are ready to hit the streets to fight crime, but Oliver differs. Meanwhile, a new drug dealer shows up in Star City and Wild Dog disobeys Green Arrow's orders and goes after Derek Sampson. On the other hand, Diggle believes he deserves to be incarcerated to pay for Andy's death; Sampson and Green Arrow face off. Finally, Felicity confesses to Rory that she is responsible for what happened at Monument Point and Lyla goes to Oliver for help in rescuing Diggle.

Casting

On June 15, 2016, it was announced that Josh Segarra was hired to play Adrian Chase, the new District Attorney who becomes an ally of Mayor Oliver Queen. [ 3 ] On July 2, it was confirmed that Cody Runnels would appear as a guest star on the third episode of the season. [ 5 ]
