Andrés Esono Ondo Okogo [ 1 ] ( Añisoc , 4 of February of 1961 ) [ 2 ] [ 3 ] [ 4 ] is a political and academic Equatorial Guinea , current Secretary General of the Convergence for Social Democracy (CPDS).
He is a sociologist from the Complutense University of Madrid (UCM) and a degree in Political Science from the National University of Distance Education (UNED). [ 2 ] He worked as a teacher at the Colegio Español de Malabo and other establishments. [ 2 ] He is currently Head of Studies at the UNED in Malabo [ 2 ] and between 1993 and 2003 he was a tutor at this university. [ 4 ] He has worked as a national consultant for the World Bank and for three United Nations agencies : theUNICEF , UNFPA and UNDP . [ 4 ]
He began his political career as a member of the Socialist Party of Equatorial Guinea (PSGE). [ 2 ] In 1992 he left this party and joined the Convergence for Social Democracy (CPDS), serving as Communication Secretary of this formation [ 3 ] in addition to being part of its National Executive Commission. [ 4 ]
For the legislative elections of Equatorial Guinea in 2017, he ran for the national parliament, [ 4 ] but failed to be elected.
He is married and has three children. [ 2 ]
