She began her professional activity in the early 1970s as a continuity presenter on Spanish Television , from where she would make the leap to the presentation of the Revistero program together with Tico Medina in 1975.
After a brief stint in the young talents discovery program Gente Joven , also in 1975, she became very popular when Maruja Callaved signed her for the presentation of Gente Hoy, a daily magazine that achieved enormous success in Spain . She was in charge of the program between 1976 and 1977, at which time she was replaced by Mari Cruz Soriano . His work in the presentation of Gente hoy earned him two TP de Oro Awards corresponding to the years 1976 and 1977, as well as an award from the Ondas Awards in 1976.
After that stage, Isabel Tenaille focused on the presentation of news and culture: Redacción noche (1979), Siete Días (1979-1980), La Bolsa y la vida (1981) or Small Print (1984-1986). However, she even proved her acting skills, starring for the Studio 1 space in the television version of the play El paseo del mono , which TVE broadcast on January 15 , 1982 . During that stage he also made a foray into the world of competitions, presenting from the set A hunt for treasure , together with Miguel de la Quadra-Salcedo. Later, between January and September 1987, he presented the Weekend Newscast , together with Secundino González .
It should be noted that in the 70s, Isabel Tenaille achieved enormous popularity, due to her freshness and naturalness, becoming one of the muses of the writer Francisco Umbral , who mentioned her in his articles as "Isabel girl".
After some time away from the screen, in 1996 she co-hosted with Matías Prats and Ana Obregón the Gala commemorating the fortieth anniversary of TVE , Toast to the Forty , produced by Valerio Lazarov .
The 9 of October of 1978 married in the sanctuary of Arantzazu in Oñate ( Guipúzcoa ), with Adolfo Butterini, of which he became a widower in 2000. In May 1980 her daughter was born in 1982. Patricia Jara and María Elena.
