Javier Múgica Seco , better known as Javi Múgica (born March 25, 1983 in León (Spain) ) is a Spanish basketball player . At 2.00 in height, his natural position on the court is that of power forward in the ranks of Real Murcia Baloncesto de la LEB Plata .
Formed in the Leon Basketball quarry to later play in Silver (Palencia and Guadalajara) and Bronze (Ávila and Archena).
He returned to León in 2010 to play two seasons for his hometown team before his disappearance. Ourense and Huesca would be his next two destinations, averaging 13 points, 9.3 rebounds and a PIR of 20 in the playoff against Breogán with the legendary Peñas.
In the 2014-15 season he exploded at Força Lleida with which he reached the semifinals of the Adecco Oro in which his team was eliminated by the ACB Club Ourense Baloncesto team. He was the LEB's top defensive rebounder (5.68 rejections) and fifth overall (7.29). He added 9 points, 2.9 assists and 2.4 fouls received for 13.4 PIR credits. [ 1 ]
Later, he had an experience in England as part of the BBL Worcester Wolves , but in 2016 he was convinced by coach Javi Llorente that he had an important handicap in his favor, the friendship that emerged a little more than a decade ago when both shared dressing room as players in the León Basketball branch (2003/04).
Thirteen years after that experience, convince the player to return to Spain and signed by the Marin Ence Peixegalego of LEB Oro. [ 2 ]
