After completing his training as a business administrator and completing his legal training in 1999, Fritsche joined the justice service of the State of Lower Saxony and initially worked at the Göttingen Regional Court , the Hanover District Court and the Hanover Public Prosecutor's Office. In 2002 he was appointed judge at the regional court in Hanover . From 2008 to 2011 he was seconded to the Federal Court of Justice as a research assistant. After a brief secondment to the Higher Regional Court in Celle at the beginning of 2012 , he was appointed judge at the Higher Regional Court.
The Presidium of the Federal Court of Justice initially assigned Fritsche to the 6th (Leipzig) Criminal Senate, which was newly formed on February 15, 2020, which is responsible for revisions in criminal cases from the districts of the higher regional courts of Bamberg, Brandenburg, Braunschweig, Celle, Naumburg, Nuremberg and Rostock.
