Jürgen-Michael Galbierz (born February 7, 1950 ) is a former German soccer player . The defensive player has in the clubs Schalke 04 and Wuppertal SV 1968 to 1975 in the football league 65 Matches (3 gates) completed  .
Galbierz, who came to the “Knappen” from the SC Buer-Hassel district club , made his Bundesliga debut at FC Schalke 04 on August 31, 1968 in an away game (1-1) against VfB Stuttgart at the age of 18 . The young player was substituted on by coach Günter Brocker in the 68th minute for Hans-Jürgen Becher as defender. Even when Rudi Gutendorf took over from Brocker on November 22, 1968, nothing changed in the permanent staff in defense: Becher, Friedel Rausch and Klaus Sengerwere first choice and Galbierz made five league appearances in his first year in the Bundesliga when he reached 7th rank. In addition to Galbierz, Schalke had also managed the other obligations of Heinz van Haaren , Franz Hasil , Gerd Kasperski , Herbert Lütkebohmert , Bernd Michel and the return campaign for “Stan” Libuda before the 1968/69 season . In his second Bundesliga year, 1969/70, he was used in 13 league games (1 goal) and Schalke finished 9th under coach Gutendorf. The squad of players had once again achieved through the newcomers Hans Pirkner , Rolf Rüssmann , Klaus Scheer ,Jürgen Sobieray and Alban Wüst improved. In his third Bundesliga year, 1970/71, Coach Gutendorf was replaced by Slobodan Cendic on September 8, 1970 and at the end of the round Galbierz had played nine league games.
The defender was under contract with FC Schalke from 1968 to 1971 and was also part of the Schalke team that lost their home game against Arminia Bielefeld 1-0 on April 17, 1971 due to a successful bribe .
Galbierz joined the western regional division Wuppertaler SV for the 1971/72 season , with whom he was sovereign under coach Horst Buhtz as a superior master with 60: 8 points and 111:23 goals and in the promotion round with 16: 0 points promotion to the Bundesliga. Galbierz had played 29 games in the Regionalliga with six goals at the side of goal scorer Günter Pröpper - with a sensational 52 goals. As a result of the Bundesliga scandal , he was suspended for two years in 1972, so that he had to pause the first year of the WSV. After a year Galbierz was pardoned and completed 38 league games (2 goals) in the two other Bundesliga seasons of the Wuppertal. After relegation in 1975he was another four years in the second division squad of the WSV; in the second half of the 1977/78 season , however, he was loaned to SC Herford , where he made 19 league games for the relegated team on the side of teammates like Jürgen Fleer , Heinz Knüwe and Uwe Pallaks . With four games in the 1978/79 season with Wuppertal in the 2nd Bundesliga, he ended his higher-class career due to injury. He was substituted on on September 10, 1978 in a 1: 4 away defeat at Arminia Hannover in the 46th minute and had to leave the field injured in the 51st minute. After that, his career was over.
In total, Galbierz completed 65 Bundesliga and 51 second division games in his professional career; in both divisions he scored three goals each.
