Jürgen Nachtmann (born September 22, 1954 ; † June 9, 2013 in Speyer  ) was a German football player . In the 1977/78 season he played a total of 18 second division games in the 2nd Bundesliga for the clubs Wormatia Worms (2) and VfR Bürstadt (16-1). In February 1973 he was used by DFB coach Jupp Derwall in the amateur national team of the DFB at the international match against Italy.
In the last two rounds of the old second -rate regional football league Southwest , 1972/73 and 1973/74, the young striker was used by Wormatia Worms in the regional league. On November 12, 1972, the 12th matchday, he made his debut in a 3-2 away win against 1. FC Saarbrücken. The young talent from the southwest came on as a substitute for Lorenz-Günther Köstner on February 28, 1973 at the international match of the German amateur national team against Italy. Under coach Radoslav Momirski and at the side of teammates Harald Braner , Emanuel Günther , Walter Horch , Norbert Janzon and Heiner SchmiehIt brought the offensive talent to a total of 37 regional league games and scored three goals. Wormatia finished fourth in 1973 and sixth in 1974 and qualified for the 2nd Bundesliga starting in 1974/75. However, the young attacker joined SV Alsenborn , which had been denied the license for the 2nd division due to technical inadequacies in the pitch and economic uncertainty in future developments.
The detour to Alsenborn only lasted one round, and for the 1975/76 season the attacker returned to Worms. The Wormatia was relegated from the 2nd Bundesliga and played from 1975 to 1977 in the Southwest amateur league. Nachtmann won the championship with his teammates, but needed two attempts with the Wormatia to prevail in the promotion round against the competitors Borussia Neunkirchen and TuS Neuendorf and return to the 2nd Bundesliga in 1977. With offensive rivals Lorenz Horr (37-5), Walter Schuberth (35-7) and Werner Seubert (28-21), Nachtmann was coached by Werner Kernin the first half of the 1977/78 series in the 2nd Bundesliga only used twice, and therefore joined the second division promoted VfR Bürstadt, who were fighting for relegation. He completed 16 games in the South Hesse and scored one goal, but Bürstadt was relegated to the amateur camp. From the 1979/80 round to 1987, Nachtmann then played at Südwest Ludwigshafen in the Southwest amateur league .
After his playing career, he worked as a coach and head of a football school.
