José Andrëa and Ouroboros is a group Spanish of Hard Rock which was formed at the beginning of the year 2012 by the famous exvocalista of Wizard of Oz , Jose Andrëa , along with two former members of the same group: Sergio Cisneros 'Kiskilla "and Pedro Diaz' Peri ", Accompanied by Juan Flores" Chino "and Juanjo Frontela. In 2015, José Rubio Jiménez joined, while Teto Viejo joined the group in 2016 and, later, the Mexican violinist Santiago Vokram and the flutist Fernando Ponce de León, a former member of the Spanish Folk Metal group Mägo de Oz .
Besides Hard Rock , the band has experimented with other musical styles such as Blues Rock on their first album " Uróboros "; later, in his second studio album, " Resurrection ", his sound hardened more, coming to have songs mostly of Hard Rock , a few of Heavy metal (In the traditional style of the 80's and 90's) and one of Power Ballad ; later, on his third album " Welcome To The Middle Ages " there is a good variety of genres such as Folk Rock , fusing his characteristic Hard Rock style with arrangements of Folk Music andCeltic , Folk Metal , Traditional Heavy Metal , AOR , Folk Ballad , Power Ballad and even Opera .
Early years and debut album (2010-2014)
The project is forged from the release of the successful album Gaia III: Atlantia ; Gaia: Epilogue and Love and Oz by Mägo de Oz , since José Andrëa no longer felt identified with the musical direction and way of working of the band for a couple of years.
He had several songs composed for a long time, even before joining Mägo de Oz , but he had never proposed them to the group to include them on their albums since perhaps they would not have liked them to adapt them to their characteristic and peculiar Folk style Metal from the Madrid band. He contacted the production company Musicals Producciones to find someone who was interested in his project and they referred him to Juan Flores, the "Chino", to whom he handed over the demos of his old songs so that he could adapt them to a more modern sound and he was amazed for how they stayed, in such a way that they were recording the album in free time in which none of the members of the group had commitments with their own groups. [1 ] On day 15 of maypole of 2012 it came to the market, under the seal of Warner Music Spain , the selftitled first album the band name " Ouroboros ".
The album was very well received by the fandom and was very successful, so much so that in the first week it managed to reach position 19 on the Promusicae list of the best-selling albums in Spain . [ 2 ]
In 2015, the band's second album, « Resurrección », went on sale , with a more powerful sound than the previous album, which would mark the style that the band would mostly execute at that time, being that it also had a very good reception by the fan community adding more Hard Rock presence and adding songs with other genres such as Power Ballad and Heavy metal .
La Paz, where everything is possible and Welcome to the Middle Ages (2018-present)
On July 13, 2018, the first live album of the band called "La Paz, where everything is possible", recorded in the hometown of José Andrea La Paz (Bolivia) on October 8, 2016 in the Open Air Theater during the Scream Festival, before more than 8,000 spectators.
"Welcome to the Middle Ages", until now considered the best album of the band, endowed with very heavy songs, even passionate ballads, the band experimented with folk instruments, giving a great sound to the album in which songs like "Agua y fuego" stand out. , «Una fable de mi yo», «El ultimo jincho», the latter very much inspired by traditional Bolivian music.
