Rhonda is a neo- soul band from northern Germany .

Band history

After the rock band Trashmonkeys announced their breakup in 2012, four of the musicians formed a new band without a singer Wolfinger. The previous bassist Milo Milone became the new singer of Rhonda , Dennis Rux (who was later replaced by Ben Schadow ), Offer Stock and Gunnar Riedel was joined by Jan Fabricius as the new bassist. Musically, the musicians turned towards soul . At the beginning of June 2014 the band played in the opening act of Paul Weller in three appearances in Germany. [2]

Her debut album Raw Love was released on July 25th, 2014 and immediately entered the German album charts . The second album Wire followed in January 2017 , which, like the first album, was produced by Gregor Hennig in Studio Nord Bremen . With her third album You Could Be Home Now , Rhonda reached number 51 on the German album charts. The album was produced and recorded by guitarist Ben Schadow in Germany and the USA.

The band now mainly lives and works in Hamburg . [3]
